SANDBAG LOCATIONS:
Ascension Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director Rick Webre said thousands of pre-filled sand bags are available for parish residents at the following locations:
Prairieville Fire Department – 14517 LA 73 in Prairieville
5th Ward Fire Department – 39110 LA 22 in Darrow
7th District Fire Department Station 71 – 13432 Roddy Road in Gonzales
St. Amant Fire Department – 44465 Stringer Bridge Road in St. Amant
Ascension Parish DPW West – 725 Church Street in Donaldsonville
Geismar Fire Department – 12171 LA 73 in Geismar
The city of Port Allen is also providing sand and sand bags to its residents.
Rivault Park and the depot on LA 1.
Pre-filled sand bags are available for the handicapped and elderly at the city maintenance barn on North 14th Street.
